You’re probably on this page because you want to know a little more about me. Before I list qualifications or achievements, there’s something more important I want you to understand: everything you see here is the result of decades of lived experience, learning, unlearning, and growth. Real change rarely happens overnight, but with the right tools, mindset, and support, it is possible.
Like many people, I’ve faced my share of challenges. Building resilience has never been glamorous, and at times it has been deeply uncomfortable.
One of my earliest turning points came at 13 after a serious horse-riding accident that injured my back. Recovery introduced me to the healing power of movement. Living with chronic asthma and dyslexia also taught me to listen closely to my body, trust my intuition, and find creative ways to move, learn, and express myself.
Midlife brought another wake-up call. Perimenopause and menopause challenged my energy and balance, leading me to rethink how I move, eat, rest, and live.
In 2023, the Auckland floods triggered a landslide that made my home unsafe. Facing the possibility of losing everything reinforced what I now teach: resilience, adaptability, nervous-system care, and knowing when to pause.
Today, I’ve helped hundreds of people build stronger, more balanced lives. My hope is that my work empowers you to create change that feels sustainable, supportive, and truly your own.

Professional Bio
Luci Harrison is a holistic wellness educator, movement specialist, and multi-disciplinary creative with over 30 years of professional experience across health, education, and the arts.
Her work bridges movement, mindset, nourishment, and creative expression, shaped by decades of lived experience and professional practice. Luci is trained as a personal trainer and Pilates instructor, having taught long before reformer studios became mainstream. She is a C.H.E.K Holistic Lifestyle Coach and nutrition-certified educator, known for her integrated, whole-person approach to midlife wellbeing and sustainable vitality.
In 2023, Luci founded Balance Bloom Pilates, a boutique studio offering a responsive, holistic approach to movement, meeting people where they are each day to restore balance, build strength, and support long-term health. In 2025, she published Your Menopause Balance, a practical and compassionate guide supporting people through midlife change with clarity, realism, and evidence-informed tools.
Alongside her wellness work, Luci is an international award-winning photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland, and a Master of Photography. Her creative career includes national and international recognition, Gold and Silver awards at NZIPP National Print Judging and Kodak Gold Awards, and the prestigious James White Scholarship, which took her to New York to study advanced printing techniques. She has also been a keynote speaker at national and international photography events.
Luci has photographed extensively throughout New Zealand and internationally, with her work appearing in published books and held in private collections worldwide. She has also worked for over 30 years as an official Auckland photographer for government visits, photographing Prime Ministers and international dignitaries including King Charles, Condoleezza Rice, and Prince William.
Luci’s work today sits at the intersection of wellbeing, creativity, and education, guiding people through change with strength, clarity, and humanity.
