Hi, I’m Luci Harrison
The 2023 Auckland Floods changed my life overnight. A major landslide destroyed my backyard, and I was red-stickered and forced to leave my home, believing I had lost almost everything.
In the absence of clear support, I stepped forward. Within a week, I was speaking live on national television and went on to establish and lead the Red Sticker community group, supporting over 500 residents affected by the floods.
As the situation unfolded, I regularly showed up across live television, radio, and print media to advocate for what was needed, giving voice to affected residents. Through this experience, I found my voice, learning how to advocate clearly, build strong teams, navigate complex systems, and lead with compassion through crisis.
